Services for Marjorie Laverne Genetzke, 85, of Marietta were at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Gardner officiating.

Born September 12, 1914, at Colquitt, Georgia, Mrs. Genetzke died October 9, 1999, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta.  She was the daughter of Leroy & Cenella Addison Brown. A resident of Marietta for 30 years, Mrs. Genetzke had previously lived in Benton Harbor, Michigan.  She attended Miller County High School in Colquitt.  Mrs. Genetzke was a housewife and a member of Eastside Baptist Church of Marietta.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie & John Greenwood of Marietta; a sister, Myrtice Phillips of Albany, Georgia; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Genetzke was preceded in death by two husbands, Homer Ensley and William Genetzke; a son, Leon G. Ensley; and five brothers, Amos "Buddy" Brown, Gerald Brown, Clinton "Clint" Brown, Addison "Tip" Brown and M.J. "Shorty" Brown.

Interment in Lakeview Cemetery was directed by Kennedy Funeral Home. 

Serving as pallbearers were John Greenwood, Pat Greenwood, Mark Greenwood and Tim Sandefur.
