Services for Carlton Lynn “Lee” Freeman, 60, of Marietta were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 3 in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jesse Farrell officiating, assisted by James Freeman.

Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.

Born September 6, 1948 in Sherman, Texas, the son of Grover Cleveland and Betty Jean Trammell Freeman, he died Monday, June 1, 2009 in Mercy Memorial Health Center, Ardmore.

A resident of Love County for the past 23 years, Mr. Freeman had been an over-the-road truck driver for 22 years. He was a loving father who especially enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and raising cockatiels.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Carlton II and Kenette Freeman of Sulphur and Randy and Kim Freeman of Marietta; two daughters and son-in-law, Tammy A. and Jermaine Bennett of Dickson and Roberta Freeman of Guthrie; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Grover and Sue Freeman of Louisiana and James and Charman Freeman of Ardmore; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Wesley McDonald of Faye, Ruby O’Neal of Lone Grove, Dorothy and John Lindsey of Springer and Shirley Freeman of Lone Grove; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Robert Cleveland Freeman in 1968.

Pallbearers were nephews, John Lindsey Jr., Joshua Lindsey, Brian Lindsey, James Freeman Jr., Robert Freeman and Brandon Lee Freeman. Honorary pallbearers were Ollen Farrell, Ollen Farrell Jr., Jeremy Lee Freeman and Tony Dawson.
