Services for Jimmy Don Fincher, 68, of Marietta will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 29 in Marietta’s First Baptist Church with Lawrence Anderson officiating.

Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.     

Born June 21, 1949 at Marietta, the son of James Ernest and Onetta Ruby Stuckey Fincher, he died Monday, December 25, 2017 in Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.

A resident of Marietta most of his life, Jimmy Don was an over-the-road truck driver for the majority of his adult life. He was a man who enjoyed working. In addition, he loved to fish, play dominoes with family, and watch NASCAR, college football and westerns’ however, his greatest loves were his children and grandchildren. Jimmy Don was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father; son, James Edward Fincher; sister, Barbara Fincher Lemons; and brother-in-law, Royce Hambrick.

Survivors include his mother, Onetta R. Fincher of Marietta; two sons, Jimmy Don Fincher, Jr. and Jimbo Fincher and wife Adrienne, all of Marietta; two daughters, Jammi Thogmartin and husband Nathan of Marietta and Sabrina Graham of Ardmore; four brothers, Joe Dale Fincher of Marietta, Mike Fincher and wife Becky of Lone Grove, Ernie Fincher and wife Debbie of Ardmore, and Brent Fincher of Marietta; sister, Patsy Hambrick of Marietta; five grandchildren, Presley Graham, Gunner Fincher, Skyler Fincher, Harper Thogmartin, and Jenner Thogmartin; several nieces and nephews; special brother, Rick Brannan; special daughter, Jennifer Nipp; and special son, Sharone Jones.

Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Fincher, Jody Fincher, Caleb Fincher, Sharone Jones, Jeremy Graham, and Brandon Fincher. Honorary bearers are Mike Fincher, Joe Fincher, Ernie Fincher, Brent Fincher, Rick Brannan, and Tom Gibbs.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, December 28 at the funeral home.
