Pat married Meredith Ray Evans on February 25, 1966, in
Marietta, the love of her life. They had four children together
before Meredith suddenly passed away on September 18, 2001.
Pat was a beautician and had owned her own salon. She did well
in her business and even supported the family while Meredith was
completing his education. She loved tending to the flowers in
her garden and being outside. Pat lover her grandkids and helped
raise her oldest, Chase Evans. She also spent a lot of time on
cruise ships, or shopping, her famous motto being, "Shop till
you drop". She enjoyed cooking and had also spent a lot of time
volunteering at the nursing home, Cross Timbers Hospice and with
Meals on Wheels in Keller, TX.
Preceding Pat in death are her parents; husband, brother, Clyde
"Bugs" McGill, Jr.; and a sister, Shirley Hicks.
Left to cherish Pat's memory are her sons, Rodney Evans of
Colorado, Ricky Evans of New Mexico, and Nathan Evans and
Jasmine Long of Ardmore, OK; daughter, Amber Cain and husband
Cody of Thackerville, OK; beloved fur baby, Katy of the home;
grandchildren, Chase Evans, Carson Evans, Claire Evans, Cole
Evans, Breighana Cain, Mikayla Cain, Tanner Cain, Pearce Watson,
and Max Humphrey; great-grandchildren, Maizey Cain and Elodie
Reams Evans; brothers, Vance McGill and wife Callie of
Thackerville, Denzil McGill and wife Kay of Marietta, and Jerry
McGill of Thackerville; sister, Denise McGill of Marietta; and
several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 4,
2024, at the Thackerville Community Church with Lawrence
Anderson officiating and Chase Evans assisting.
Interment will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta.
A time of
visitation will be Sunday, November 3, from 4:00 P.M. to 6 P.M.
at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home in Marietta.
Serving as casket bearers will be Cole Evans, Kenny Stinson,
Brock McMillin, Bronson McMillin, Pearce Watson, and Tanner
Cain.
The family would like to share a special thanks for the kindness
and warmth Good Shepherd Hospice and her caregiver Fran have
provided to Pat and the family during this time. The family also
wishes to extend appreciation for all the expressions of love,
kindness, and concern shown to the family during this time.
