Services for Ila Sue Dvorak, 92, of Marietta were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 18 in the Chapel of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta with Pastor Shane Norton officiating and Lawrence Anderson assisting. Interment followed in the Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.
 
Born October 13, 1927, the daughter of Thomas Archie and Zona Naomi  Johnston Buckley, she died Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Mercy Health Love County, Marietta.
 
Sue grew up in Marietta graduating from Marietta Longfellow High School with the Class of 1946. She married Joe Dvorak on February 28, 1948 in Marietta and he preceded her in death on January 5, 2007. Sue worked for Selvidge and Parker Drug Stores, King "B" Malt Shop, Foodway Grocery and for the election board for 20 years. She also was the bookkeeper and manager for Joe's carpentry and construction business. Later in life, Sue became a homemaker caring for her family. She was a master in the art of knitting and crocheting. Sue enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was known for her famous pecan pies at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
 
In addition to her husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by five brothers, Everett Buckley, Gerald Buckley, Joe Buckley, Kelly Buckley and Benny Buckley, and sister, Iris Landrum.
 
Survivors include a son, Danny Dvorak and wife Sherry; daughter, Connie Anderson and husband Craig; two sisters, Jeanene and husband Reverend F.M. Bryant and Sally Roberts; four grandchildren, Chris Dvorak and wife Christi, Drew Dvorak and wife Lesley, Callen Anderson, and Cameron Anderson; and four great-grandchildren, Joseph, Cora, Daniel, and Lleyton.
 
Serving as pallbearers were Chris Dvorak, Drew Dvorak, Cameron Anderson, David Jacobs, Danny Dvorak, and Craig Anderson. Honorary bearers were her great-grandchildren, Joseph, Cora, Daniel and Lleyton.
