Memorial services for Melissa Ann “Missy” Dunn, 42, of Marietta, were held at 7 p.m., Friday, August 24, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, with the Rev. Gene Cormier officiating.

Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.

On June 7, 1965, in Norman, the daughter of Horace Dean and Patsy Juanita Riley Dunn, she died Wednesday, August 22, 2007, in Gainesville, Texas.

A resident of Oklahoma City for the past 23 years, Miss Dunn had previously made her home in Marietta. A 1983 graduate of Turner High School, she also graduated from the Southern Oklahoma Technology Center Nursing Program in Ardmore in 1985. As an LPN, Miss Dunn worked in home health with disabled children. In her spare time she enjoyed camping, listening to music and spending time with friends and family, especially being Aunt Pippis to her nephews, Asher and T.J. Miss Dunn was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include a companion, Crystal Rainbolt of the home; mother, Patsy J. Riley and companion, Leda Furrh of Marietta; stepfather, Don Culwell of Marietta; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Aaron Neil and Lisa Dunn of Norman; a brother, Craig Dunn of Courtney; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dawnita and Jason Sampson of Marietta and Donna Kay and Tim Rains of Thackerville; aunts and uncles, Glinda and Bobby Brown of Marietta, Debra and David Province of Gainesville, Joyce and Mike Dawdy of Victoria, Texas, and Kathy Dunn of Ardmore; and nephews, Asher Hartman and Timothy Jayce Rains.

She was preceded in death by her father, Horace Dunn; maternal grandparents, Anna Bell and Wink Riley; paternal grandparents, Cordia and Horace Dunn and Lou Gaston; an uncle, Wintferd “Pudgie” Riley; and an aunt, JoAnn Mashburn.

Honorary pallbearers were Nick White, Kasey Wyatt, Dixie Norton, Amy Hughes, Laurie Parker and Misty Cartmell.
