Jackie Carroll "Jack" Drennan, Jr., of Marietta was born on November 15, 1938, in Texarkana, Texas to Jack Drennan, Sr. and Grace Nance Drennan. He passed from this life on Monday, December 5, 2022, at his Marietta residence at the age of 84.
 
Jack retired from the United States Army on November 15, 1998. He received an associate degree in business administration from Murray State College in Tishomingo. He worked as the head accountant for the Daube Oil Company and the Daube Land Company before his retirement. Jack enjoyed working the ranch northeast of Marietta. He was a longtime member of the First Christian Church, Marietta.
 
Jack married the former Elizabeth Anne Doss in Marietta on June 20, 1964. She preceded him in death on September 24, 2019. 
 
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and son, Bryan Drennan.
 
Survivors include a granddaughter, Nellie Drennan of Lone Grove; sister, Jan Michael and husband Dick of Marietta; nephews, Blake Michael and wife Sandy and Dusty Michael and wife Jodi, all of Marietta; nieces, Sherry Bay and husband Mike of Ada and Katy Pickens and husband Brandon of Madill; and several great-nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 7 at the First Christian Church, Marietta with Dusty Michael and Blake Michael officiating. Interment with full military honors followed at the Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.
 
Serving as casket bearers were David Bell, Rod Shankles, Ramsey Maxwell, Mike Bay, Brandon Pickens, and Conner Michael. Honorary bearers were Terry Hewitt, Buddy Vineyard, Jackie Barners, Cecil Miller, Gilbert Jenkins, Tom Kennedy, Rex Lokey, and Martha and the late Jimmy Greenwood.
