Service for Elizabeth Anne Drennan, 79, of
Marietta, OK, will be held Saturday,
September 28, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the
First Christian Church, with Rev. Sharen
Crockett officiating.
Interment will follow
in the Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta under
the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home
& Cremation Services, Marietta.
The daughter of Everett and Beulah Long Doss
was born July 24, 1940, in Fraziers Bottom,
WV. She passed away September 24, 2019, in
Mercy Health Love County in Marietta.
Anne graduated from Hannah High School in
Fraziers Bottom. She obtained an Associate
Degree through Business College in
Huntington, WV. She migrated down to Dallas,
TX for a job opportunity, where she met Jack
Drennan. On June 20, 1964, they were
married, eventually moving to Oklahoma. This
past June marked their 55-year wedding
anniversary. Anne was the first Deputy Clerk
in the Love County Treasurer’s office where
she retired after 18 years of service. She
was a member of the First Christian Church
in Marietta and loved attending her bible
study group.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by a son, Bryan Drennan; two
sisters, Goldie Estep and Audrey Foster; a
brother, James Doss; and stepfather, Marvin
Wears.
Survivors include her husband, Jack of the
home; grandchild, Corena Anell Drennan of
Marietta; sister-in-law, Sue Doss of
Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law, brother-in-law
and very special friends, Dick & Jan Michael
of Marietta; nephew, Jeffery Foster of Ona,
WV; niece, Pamela Nelson of Phoenix, AZ; and
many other nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Dusty Michael,
Blake Michael, Jim Michael, Joe Martin, Ro
Hartman and David Hartman. Honorary bearers
are Dick Michael and Members of the First
Christian Church and Bible Study Group.
Time of visitation for family and
friends will be Friday from 6:00 p.m. to
8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
