Wanda Sue Cummins

Services for Wanda Sue Cummins, 66, of Marietta, were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 12, in Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Mike Sampson officiating. Interment followed at Lakeview Cemetery.

Born July 11, 1943 in Checotah, the daughter of Aaron Winfred and Rhoda Elizabeth Howe Cummins, she died Monday, November 9, 2009 in Mercy Memorial Health Center, Ardmore.

Miss Cummins grew up in the Checotah, Hollister and Lake Eufaula area and moved to Love County in 1963. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked as a dishwasher/cook at the Red Rooster until the late 80’s. She was a very loving grandma who also enjoyed the outdoors. Wanda was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Malinda and Ronnie Stuckey of Marietta; three brothers, James Carl Cummins, Henry Lafayette Cummins, Sr. And Aaron Ray Cummins, all of Marietta; two sisters, Claudell Stephens and Wilma Jean Baskett, also of Marietta; three grandchildren, Kristie Cummins, Jason Stuckey and Brandy Stuckey; and six great-grandchildren, James Brown, Britten Cummins, London Cummins, Easton Cummins, Caden Jo Sampson Stuckey and Steven Brown.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Odis Lee Cummins.

Pallbearers were Michael Dewbre, Jerimiah Cummins, Michael Cummins, Henry Cummins, Jr., Aaron Stephens and Richard Stephens. Honorary bearers were Jason Stuckey, Britten Cummins, Caden Jo Sampson Stuckey, London Cummins, Alex Guerrero and Easton Cummins.

This obituary included a picture of Ms. Cummins.
