A resident of Love County most of her life, she was a homemaker and also was employed as a floor supervisor at Little Brownie and in the housekeeping department of Mercy Health Love County.
She and Raymond Cooper were married June 19, 1951, in Portales, NM. Mrs.
Cooper liked to crochet and knit and was well-known for her delicious
candy and baked goods. She loved spending time with her grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Eastside
Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and five sisters, Lorene
Hughes, Viola Stinson, Emandie Orr, Felicia Cavitt and an infant sister.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Raymond Cooper of the home;
son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Gina Cooper of Kenefic, OK; daughter
and son-in-law, Mary and Keith Isbell of Thackerville, OK; sister, Trudy
Frederick of Purcell, OK; four grand-children, Crystal, Keith, Kenneth
and Alisha; and four great-granddaughters, Andrea, Addison, Allee and
Paisley.
Serving as bearers will be Keith Isbell, Jr., Kenny Cooper, Alisha
Cooper, Michael Gray, Ray Russell and Dewayne Russell. Honorary bearers
are Dr. Tom O'Connor, Dr. Vergil Smith and the New Beginnings Sunday
School Class of Eastside Baptist Church.
