Services for Mary E. Colston, 95, of Norman were held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 21, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tommy Higle, officiating.

Interment followed in Lakeview Cemetery.

Born March 28, 1915 in Wynnewood, the daughter of Garner and Rachel Marrs Tucker, she died Friday, June 18, 2010 at Norman Healthplex. A resident of Love County most of her life, Mrs. Colston had lived in Norman for the past seven years. She and Eldridge Colston were married December 10, 1935 in Marietta, and he preceded her in death on April 21, 2006. A homemaker, Mrs. Colston particularly enjoyed sewing, cooking and caring for her flower gardens. She was a member of Marietta’s First Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Colston was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

She is survived by three sons and daughter-in-law, David Colston of Oklahoma City, Don Colston and wife, Anne of Midwest City and Chris Colston of Edmond; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lynn and Jim Carlile of Perryton, Texas; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Family members served as casket bearers.

This obituary included a picture of Mrs. Colston.
