Services for Neva L. Coble were Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church. Officiating were the Rev. Roland Luelf, pastor, and the Rev. Ed Elswick.

Born August 3, 1920, in Loves Valley, Mrs. Coble died Sunday, July 25, 1993, at the Love County Health Center in Marietta at the age of 72. She was the daughter of E.M. and Vera Copeland Parker.

Mrs. Coble had lived in Love County most of her life and was married to Fletcher Coble in Marietta on January 27, 1946.

Before retiring several years ago, Mrs. Coble had been employed by Douglas Aircraft and later worked with the Love County ASCS office 22 years. She then was employed in the Love County Treasurer’s office from 1970 to 1983. Mrs. Coble was a member of the National Federal Employers Association and had been a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marietta for more than 30 years.

She is survived by her husband, Fletcher Coble of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Joanne Coble of Marietta and Don and Beth Coble of Anadarko; a brother, Kenneth Parker of Ardmore; a sister, Glenda Bradley of Dallas, Texas; and four grandsons, Chad Coble and Cody Coble of Marietta and Robbie Coble and Ryan Coble of Anadarko.

Interment in Lakeview Cemetery was under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers were Clark Tipton, Bobby Michael, Vestal Bennett, Allen Burns, Bob McClain and David Nichols. Honorary bearers were Claude Brannan and Warren Griffin.
