Services for Ina Pearl Chambers were Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in the Church of Christ with Bro. Edgar Wallace and Bro. Floyd Johnson officiating.

Mrs. Chambers was born September 29, 1909, in Jimtown and died January 21, 1993, at her home in Ardmore at the age of 83. She was the daughter of George and Nancy Jane Smith McBride.

Mrs. Chambers had lived in Ardmore since 1954, moving there from Love County. She married Sam Garvey Chambers in Wilson in 1926, and they were the caretakers for the Chickasaw Club Lake for 18 years. Mrs. Chambers was also a housewife and a member of the Maxwell Avenue Church of Christ.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Pat Chambers of Ardmore, Wayne and Gayle Chambers of Oklahoma City, and Sam Garvey and Eula Chambers of Ida, Arkansas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jo and Lewis Foster of Marietta, and Genevive and Tom Donaldson of Dickson, Tennessee; two sisters, Ada Jo Hall of Ardmore, and Mamie Ruth Vinson of Dallas, Texas; 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Chambers was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Garvey Chambers, on September 26, 1990.

Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers were John McBride, Jack Holland, Badger McBride, Ott Ladner, Sam Junior McBride, and Jack Chambers. Honorary pallbearers were Gene Chambers, George Ellis McBride, Harvey McBride, Brady Chambers, Dent Chambers, and Andrew “Bay” Ladner.
