Graveside services for Wanda Jo Littlefield Carroll, 81, of Edgewood, New Mexico, formerly of Marietta, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 26 in Marietta’s Lakeview Cemetery with Brother Mike Herndon of the Powell Church of Christ officiating.

Born May 13, 1937 in Lone Oak, Texas, the youngest of four children born to Frank and Dulsie Hunt, she died Sunday, October 21, 2018 in Edgewood. Wanda graduated from Lazbuddie High School in 1955 and then enrolled in Amarillo College where she received her RN upon graduation in 1975. She then furthered her educations at East Texas State University in Commerce where she received a bachelor of science degree in nursing and a master’s degree in teaching. She worked as a homemaker and registered nurse, as well as a teacher throughout her working years. Wanda married Donald Dean Littlefield in August of 1956. He died in January of 1971. In December of 2000, she married Archie Carroll, and he preceded her in death in December of 2016.

Survivors include her son, Donnie Joe Littlefield of Celina, Texas; daughter, Karla Mae Meehan of Edgewood; two sister, Dorothy Hipp of Midland, Texas and Chris Roberts of Lavon, Texas; six grandchildren, Corey Littlefield, Jennifer Moore, Dusty Littlefield and Kristen Honderick, all of the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area, and Riley Meehan and Zachary Meehan of Edgewood; 11 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Donald Dean Littlefield and Archie Carroll; brother, Billy Hunt; and great-granddaughter, Cadence Moore.

The family suggests memorials be made in Wanda’s name to the Powell Church of Christ, Powell Road, Kingston, OK 73439 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
