Services for Ruby Opal Burt were held March 10 at 10:00 a.m. in Trinity Baptist Church, Ardmore, with Rev. Al Green and Rev. Randy Boatright officiating.

Mrs. Burt died March 7, 1999, in a local hospital. She was born July 11, 1913, in Montague County, Texas, the daughter of Leonard and Nettie McNabb.

Mrs. Burt moved from Yoakum County, Texas, to Thackerville in 1962, to Marietta in 1976 and to Ardmore in 1989. She and Jim Burt were married December 29, 1930, at Waurika.

Survivors include three sons, Delbert of Gainesville, Texas, Jimmy and Joe of Ardmore; four daughters, Wanda Jones of Brownfield, Texas, Marcell Boatright and Jean Tarlton of Ardmore, and Charlotte Green of Gould, Arkansas; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Burt was preceded in death by her husband on October 30, 1981; and a grandson.

Interment in Lakeview Cemetery was directed by Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home.

Grandsons served as casket bearers.
