Graveside services for Rosie Mae Brown, 61, of Marietta, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, with the Rev. Gary Stephens officiating.

Mrs. Brown was born February 1, 1941, at Marietta, the daughter of Edker and Vela Bell Stephens Spradling. She died Monday, May 6, 2002, at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of the Marietta Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Brown of the home; four daughters, Phyllis Wilder of Marietta, Denise Fraley and Susan Gaddie of Whitesboro, Texas and Rebecca Miller of Gainesville, Texas; and a stepdaughter, Leona Stephens of Garfield, Arkansas; two brothers, Bobby Spradling and Ronny Spradling, both of Marietta; three sisters, Delois Howe of  Sherman, Texas, Wanda Hacker of Saint Jo, Texas, and Belinda Harp of Calera; and 14 grandchildren.  

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Peggy Tapia; two brothers, David Spradling and Thomas Spradling; and two grandchildren.

Services were under the direction of George J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville.
