Services for Eva Jean Hyden Bradford, 86, of Oak Point, Texas were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 23 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville, Texas with Reverend Larry Kremling officiating. Private interment followed at Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.
 
Born August 26, 1934 at Glen Rose, Texas, the daughter of H.H. and Ethel Mitchell Henderson, she died Monday, January 18, 2021 at Denton, Texas.
 
Eva graduated from Gainesville High School and participated in the Gainesville Community Circus. She married J.R. Bradford on May 23, 1952 in Gainesville. For many years she worked for Collin County, Texas, eventually retiring as Chief Deputy County Clerk. Mrs. Bradford enjoyed bowling, sewing and quilting, any kind of board or card game, and traveling.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.R. Bradford; son, Robert Bradford; and brother-in-law, Larry Matthews.
 
Survivors include daughter, Mary Gehlsen and husband Steve of Oak Point; grandchildren, Jacy Gehlsen, Emily Colon, Eddie Colon, Amber Gann (Clifford), and Justin Robert Adelmann (Jessie); six great-grandchildren; sisters, Robbie Ann Carson and husband Frank, Nancy Jo Striplin and husband Ray, Ruby Pearl Tallent, and Carol Sue Matthews; and a host of nieces and nephews.
