Linda was born on August
31, 1946, in Lamesa, Texas, daughter of Robert Lee and Eula May
(Carvile) Davis. She passed away on September 25, 2020, at Carrus
Speciality Hospital in Sherman, Texas, at the age of 74.
Linda was a graduate of Lamesa High School. Linda married Bobby Dewayne
Birdwell on April 14, 1983, in Weatherford, TX. He preceded her in death
on October 31, 2009. Linda had a big heart and was always willing to
help others. She was a very organized person who loved decorating,
shopping, playing solitaire, card games, board games and puzzles. Linda
was of the Baptist faith. She loved her family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death
by daughter, Shawnna Fethkenher; brothers, Doug Davis, Don Davis, Gary
Davis, Bennie Davis, and Glenn Davis; sisters, Wanda Goolsby and Joy
McQuien.
Linda is survived by daughter, Gayla Snow and fiancé Phillip Gregory of
Euless, Texas; son, Garyn Fethkenher of Euless, Texas; special daughter,
Julie Cloud-Pryor of Pottsboro, Texas; sister, Darla Scott of Bryan,
Texas; grandchildren, Mehgan Fethkenher Rhodes and Kandis Fethkenher;
great-grandchildren, Haden McBroom, Madysen Fethkenher, Bailey Urbanski,
Calvin Huggins, and Levi Huggins.
Serving as pallbearers are Garyn Fethkenher, Gunner Black, Tristan "TJ"
Black, Dawson Black, Jimmie Williams, Randy Martin, Steve Birdwell, and
Xavier Guerrero. Honorary pallbearer is Joe Martin.
Special thank you to:
Mary Sue Mayes and Judy Cooper for being a wonderful friend and
caretaker for my mother when I couldn't be there.
Joe and Linda Martin for being a wonderful friend.
Julie Cloud-Pryor for being a wonderful daughter and friend. For all the
days of visiting and holding her hand to the end.
Phillip Gregory for accepting my family as your own.
Sissy and Jimmie for being with mom and I for ten days through this
trying time.
To all my mother's other friends, thank you for all the calls and prayer
during this long difficult journey.
