Born June 8, 1975, at Ardmore, the son of Bobby Dewayne Birdwell and Marsha Rhea Johnston Birdwell, he died Thursday, February 23, 2017, in Medical City of Denton, Denton, Texas.
A resident of Love County all of his life, Kam graduated from Marietta High School with the class of 1995. He dearly loved his family, alligators, "Swamp People", Dallas Cowboys, key rings and caps, which he collected everywhere he went. He also loved anything made of camo, his rabbit foot, watching monster trucks and fast cars, and grilled cheese sandwiches. Kam was able to travel to Pierre Part, Louisiana, a little while ago to meet Troy Landry, King of the Swamp, of "Swamp People". He was Kam's favorite television personality. This was an absolute joy for Kam. He was so excited and kept pictures of him and Troy Landry on his wall at home. Kam spoke of that moment to everyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his brother Steve Birdwell of Marietta; sister, Toni Turner of Marietta; uncle and aunt, Tim and Mary Ellen Johnston of Jimtown; stepmother Linda Birdwell of Marietta; stepsister, Gayla Snow of Grapevine, Texas; two nieces, Tiffany Spears and Whitney Birdwell; nephew Timothy Stuckey; two great-nieces, Alexis Spears and Taylor Spears; and great-nephew Wyatt Spears.
Serving as honorary bearers were Steve Birdwell, Toni Turner, Tim Johnston, Timothy Stuckey, Matt Spears and Ronnie Lemke. Online guest book: wattsfuneralhome.com
