Graveside services for Florence O. Barber, 81, of Enville, were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, October 20, in the Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, with the Rev. W.S. McMurtrey and the Rev. Helen Baker officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.

Born November 28, 1923, at Boles, Arkansas, the daughter of Johnnie Dee and Lina Blair Pinnick, she died Sunday, October 16, 2005, at her residence in the Enville community.

A resident of the Marietta area most of her life, Mrs. Barber moved from Mena, Arkansas to Courtney at the age of four and attended school there. She worked at the Two Lakes Motel in Marietta, Marietta Sportswear for many years, and also at the Cookie Shop in Marietta. Mrs. Barber enjoyed fishing, sewing, reading and writing letters. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Hellen Barber of Enville and Homer and Jean Ivins of Lebanon; two brothers, Albert Pinnick of Pahrump, Nevada and Dan Farris Pinnick of Merkel, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, W.P. “Bill” Barber and Leroy “Roy” Barber; a brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Betty Pinnick; and two stepsons, Virgil Barber and Robert Lee Barber.
