BETTY JEAN HALL

Services for Betty Jean Hall were Saturday at 2:00 p.m. In the Jimtown Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Davidson officiating.
Mrs. Hall was born October 15, 1930, at Jimtown and died September 12, 1991, at her home near Jimtown at the age of 60 following an extended illness. She was the daughter of W.F. And Rebecca Hartless Smith.
A resident of Love County all of her life, she and Jimmy Lou Hall were married October 9, 1945, at Marietta. Mrs. Hall was a homemaker and a member of the Jimtown Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Lou Hall of the home at Jimtown; two sons, Luke Hall and Shorty Hall, both of Jimtown; two brothers, W.B. “Bill” Smith of Leon and Robert Smith of Butler; two sisters, Ruby Powers of Marietta and Quetha Ivins of North Richland Hills, Texas; four grandchildren, Josh, Christi, Rebecca Sue, and Jeff; and two step-grandchildren, Melane and Leah.
Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew Smith, Ruben Smith, and George Smith; and two sisters, Frances Smith and Dora Smith.
Interment was in the Jimtown Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home. Pallbearers were F.S. Mapp, Larry Hicks, Delbert Hicks, Ott Ladner, Raymond White, and Joel Hicks. Honorary pallbearers included Thurston Hicks, Bay Ladner, David Black, James Weldon Hicks, Ulys Mapp, and Mike Parker.
