Graveside services for Gary Don Willis will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2022 at the Greenville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Marietta, OK.
 
Gary was born March 11, 1961 in Lockney, Texas, to Don and Allene (Hardy) Willis. He passed away June 19, 2022 at the age of 61 with his family by his side. 
 
Gary was raised in the Enville community and attended Marietta High School where he played football and was a member of the track team. After high school he married the love of his life, Kara Jean Meredith.  They were married on July 10, 1978 in Marietta and spent 44 wonderful years together.

Gary was a proud and patriotic man who loved the outdoors.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  “Papa,” as he was called, always had a big garden and loved sharing the outdoors with his grandkids.  He was a strong man, a provider, and a protector and was devoted to his family.  Gary always made sure his family was taken care of.
 
Gary is survived by his loving wife Kara Jean of the home; six daughters, Kacie Bone and husband Sheldon of Marietta, Krista Pinkston and husband Robert of Thackerville, OK, Kortnie Talkington of Greenville, Kallie Mitchell and husband Rocky of Wilson, OK, Kassidy Willis and Kalyn Willis, both of the home; a son, Karson Willis of the home; parents, Don and Allene Willis of Enville; two sisters, LaDonna Taliaferro and husband Wade of Enville and Cindy Eastman and husband Colby of Ardmore, OK; as well as three life lifelong best friends, Joe Willis, Luke Vinson and Terry Ingram.
 
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Kayla Fortune and husband Brennan, Kate and Zade Bone, Kylie Sprouse, Jaxon, Jaycee, and Jessa Talkington, and Khloe, Kinslee, and Kayden Mitchell; and was excitedly awaiting the arrival of his first great-grandchild, Audrey Kate Fortune.
 
Gary is preceded in death by grandparents, Clarence and Vivian Willis and Clarence and Mildred Hardy; and father and mother-in-law, Tommy and Berta Jean Meredith.
