Thomas Leroy “Tommy” Cravatt, of Ada, Oklahoma, was born on November 19, 1952, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Henderson “Jack” and Ada Catherine (Foraker) Cravatt. He passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2026, at a hospital in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by his loving family. He was 73 years old. 


Tommy attended Davis High School in Davis, Oklahoma, and later continued his education at Los Angeles Trade Tech College and Liberty University, where he earned his associate degree. He was born and raised in Oklahoma before spending several years in Texas and Missouri. He eventually returned to his home state and settled in Ada, Oklahoma, where he had made his home for the past five years. 


On June 25, 1990, Tommy married the love of his life, Tammy Deane Persinger, in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Together, they shared 36 years of marriage and built a life centered around family, love, faith, and countless memories. 


Tommy lived a full and colorful life. He loved life and, in his younger years, lived a little on the wild side. But at the age of 36, Tommy gave his heart and life to God, and from that day forward, his life was changed. His faith became an important part of who he was. He loved reading his Bible and listening to Southern Gospel music, and he cherished the hope he had in the Lord. 


Above all, Tommy loved his family. He especially treasured spending time with his children and grandchildren and could often be found playing with his grandchildren and making memories with those he loved. He also had a passion for paint and body work and a lifelong love for classic cars. Tommy had a gift for working with his hands and took great pride in bringing old cars back to life. 


Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Henderson “Jack” and Ada Catherine Cravatt, and eight brothers and sisters. 


Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Tammy, of the home; sons, Matthew Cravatt and wife, Brandy, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Colton Cravatt and wife, Courtney, of Ostrander, Ohio; daughters, Tiffany Bolding and husband, Robert, of Davis, Oklahoma; Tamara Martin of Dayton, Texas; Brittany Jones and husband, Speed, of Dallas, Texas; and Jennifer Thomas and husband, Nathan, of Luganville, Vanuatu; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Jerry Cravatt; sisters, Judy Poolaw and husband, Flint, Norma Wallace and Shirley Lewis along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta, OK, with Colton Cravatt officiating.

A time of viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

A private family interment will follow at Greenville Cemetery in Greenville, Oklahoma.

Serving as casket bearers will be Kaleb Cravatt, Brock Bolding, Philip Cravatt, Sood Cravatt, Victor Persinger II, and Andrew Jordan.


Tommy will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but those who knew and loved him can take comfort in knowing that he is now at home with the Lord he loved and served.
