Birth: Apr. 11, 1851 Trinity (Lowndes County) Lowndes County Mississippi, USA Death: May 2, 1918 Marsden Love County Oklahoma, USA

Mary Elizabeth Davis was the daughter of James Elbert and Sallie/Sally/Sarah (Williams) Davis.

Mary's father's parents were Paul and Eunice Ann (Nelson) Davis; and Paul was the son of Daniel Davis.

Census: Mary E Davis:

1850 MS Rankin county (date. Nov. 1850) with parents and only child listed. Mary E. Davis age 1 born MS {this info. and her parents marriage date has changed Mary's birth year. I cal. 1850 and the early month. Census takers had rules to follow and Mary was round up to the age of 1} .

1860 Dated June 28, 1860 with parents and four siblings Mary E. Davis age 8 born MS {this census has her brother age 10 MS, it should be reverse} . Mary Elizabeth Davis married Samuel Marion Willingham on the 30 July 1866 in Texas. .

1870 ? .

1880 TX Denton county Dated 6/7/1880 with husband and 4 children Mary E. Willingham wife age 29 born Miss. { Sam M.(34), James N, (11), Sallie B. (9), William B. (7), and Thomas (3)}

1900 ? .

1910 OK Love county (date: May 10, 11, 12, 1910) with husband and family Mary E. Willingham

Mary Elizabeth Davis Willingham journey on earth ended in 1918. She had seen and felt the pains of the Civil War, the loss of her beloved parents. She had travel across the states in a wagon pulled by oxen with her parents relatives to a new land; and met the man she would love and share the ups and downs of marriage. They moved and travel northward to another new land for a better life. She has felt the loss of a young son and a older son before her life journey would end.

Mary's life had ended on earth, but her legacy lives on through her children's children. .

As the generations passed by, the children's children continue; and they slowly come one by one, and stand, at her grave side, wondering about this precious Mary, whom soul now rest with Jesus.

Child of Sam and Mary Willingham still needing a burial location for Oscar Willingham, whom died young.
