Services for Buck Woody, 79, were Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Nazarene Baptist Church, Burneyville.  Officiating was Rev. Eugene Bellard.

Mr. Woody was born September 15, 1918, at Burneyville, the son of Will and Tenny Woody, and died at his home in Amarillo, Texas Friday. Mr. Woody grew up in the Dunbar Community and attended school there.  He married Allie Lee Anderson, and she preceded him in death.  Mr. Woody owned and operated a tire shop in Amarillo.

He is survived by three daughters, Peggie Lee Davis of Memphis, Tennessee, Linda Woody of Washington and Debra Woody of Amarillo; two sons, Buck Woody, Jr. and Larry Woody, both of Amarillo; a brother, Alvin "J.D." Woody of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.  

Interment was in the Dunbar Cemetery, Burneyville, under the direction of Kirk-Dawson-Dillard Funeral Home.
