Graveside services for Evelyn Alene “Dolly” Bone, 74, of Thackerville were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 29 in the Burneyville Cemetery with Finley Morgan officiating.

Born December 15, 1945 at Thackerville, the daughter of George Henry and Margaret V. “Maggie” McGill Jones, she died Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the Lake Country Nursing Center, Marietta. Dolly was a lifelong resident of Thackerville. She was a graduate of the Thackerville High School Class of 1963. Dolly married the love of her life Jimmy Dale Bone on February 23, 1974 in Gainesville, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2015. She worked for the Love County Treasurer’s Office for many years. Dolly was a member of the Marietta Church of Christ. She had many interests she loved, such as gardening, sewing and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Bone; parents, George and Maggie Jones; two sisters; and six brothers.

Survivors include three sons, Chuck Bone and wife Patty of Marietta, Tim Robertson and wife Piper of Thackerville, and Sheldon Bone and wife Kacie of Marietta; two daughters, Pam Parker and husband J.J. of Ardmore and Michelle Cundiff and husband Jeff of Pineville, Louisiana; two brothers, Bill Jones and wife Claudia and Bob Jones and wife Donna; sister, Ruth Johnson; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Serving as honorary bearers were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
