John M Johnson, 83, died Sunday at his home in Meridian. Services will be held March 3, at 2:30 p.m. at the St Paul Baptist Church in Meridian. Rev. W.L Young will officate and the burial will be in the Union Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Dawson Funeral Home.

Born in Zanesville, Ohio, April 26, 1873 he moved with his parents to Tuscumbia Mo in 1880. In 1900 he rode a bicycle to Oklahoma Terr and settled near Meridian.

Survivors are his Wife Louuse; daughters Mrs. Flora J. Mack & Mrs. Estella Taylor of Meridian; Mrs Pansy Saulters of Oklahoma City; Mrs Japonette Cole of Portland; One step son Floyd Rankin of KS and one brother J.R. Johnson of Los Angeles CA., 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.



John M Johnson was married to his first wife Luella in 1903 Oklahoma Terr.
