Barbara Ann West

Born: March 13, 1933
Died: January 18, 2010

Barbara Ann Dodd West, 76, passed away on January 18, 2010 at Logan Medial Center, Guthrie, OK. She was born on March 13, 1933 in Guthrie to George and LV Taylor.

Barbara married Bobby Dodd on February 1, 1949 until his passing on October 9, 1977. She later married Dwayne West on May 31, 1980 until his passing on October 1, 1987. She was a homemaker all her life.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Darlene Taylor, Frances Clymer, Maxine Clift, and Shirley Moore, husbands Bobby Gene Dodd and Dwayne J. West, and two step-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Rejenia Dodd Newland and longtime companion Charley Stewart, one grandson Bobby Gene Dodd Stevens, three step-grandchildren Laurie Newland, Henery Newland of Texas, and Lloyd Newland of Stillwater, OK, and five step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Doris Freeman and Lois Leniger of Guthrie, one brother Melvin Taylor of Guthrie, numerous nieces and nephews, and longtime companion Glen Coffman.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 22, 2010 at Summit View Cemetery with Bishop Arnold Jones of Full Gospel Fellowship, Guthrie officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
