Harold Leslie Wehr was born in Guthrie, OK to Cecil and Blanche Wehr on November 29, 1947. He passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 in Oklahoma City, OK.

He married Sharon Kaye Wiss on June 14, 1968. They were blessed with two boys, Kevin and Brian. He has eight grandchildren: Maggie, Madelynn, Macy, Hannah, Mallory, Ezekiel, Elias, and Hezekiah. Harold was very proud of his boys and grandchildren and would brag on them to anyone who would listen. He made it a priority to be involved in all of his grandkids activities, which kept him pretty busy going to basketball, soccer, and football games, karate tests, and dance performances.

Harold and his cousin, Mike Savory, opened H&M Carpet Store in September of 1976. Harold continued to sell and install carpet until early October 2019. He loved that his job allowed him to get to know people all over Guthrie and the neighboring communities.

Harold also loved his church, Guthrie Christian Church, and enjoyed serving in many ways, especially mowing. He was very excited for the new church building and the direction that the church is moving.

Harold loved playing golf and traveling to see new places and play new golf courses. His favorite place to visit was the golf capital of the world, Myrtle Beach. He was always up to go anywhere with his golf buddies.

Harold is survived by his wife Sharon, sons Brian and Kevin, daughter-in-laws Molly and Crystal, grandchildren Maggie, Madelynn, Macy, Hannah, Mallory, Ezekiel, Elias, and Hezekiah. He is also survived by brothers: Wayne and his wife Joyce, Dean and his wife Teresa, Ronnie and his wife Cathy, Dennis and his wife Carla, and Kenny. He is also survived by sisters: Darlene Decker and her husband Mike, Sandy Minnich and her husband John, and Pennie Wehr. He is also survived by brother-in-law Rodney Wiss and wife Darla and sister-in-law Janel Armstrong and husband Craig as well as many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

Harold was preceded in death by parents Cecil and Blanche Wehr and two sisters Eva and Kate.

Harold has a strong faith in our Lord and Savior and had the hope that he would meet Jesus at the end of this life. He would want all of you to know that he is rejoicing in Heaven with his Creator and is completely whole and well. He is waiting to welcome all of his family and friends home.

Funeral services for Harold will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 25, 2019 at SouthPointe Baptist Church with Kevin Wehr officiating. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Thursday, 2:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.

Memorial donations in his name may be made to the Guthrie Christian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 789, Guthrie, OK 73044.
