Billye Marie Tripp, age 75, of Oklahoma City passed away April 29, 2013, in Oklahoma City. She was born on March 3, 1938 to William J. and Frances C. (McCorkle)Ferris in Guthrie.

Billye graduated from Guthrie High School in 1956. She married Gene R. Tripp on November 23, 1956, in Guthrie. Billye worked as a medical assistant for 37 years and retired in 1997. She was a member of American Association of Medical Assistants, past President of Oklahoma Medical Assistants Society and past President of Oklahoma County Chapter of Medical Assistants.

She is survived by her husband Gene, her mother Frances C. Ferris of Guthrie, her brother Larry E. (Shirley) Ferris of Blanchard and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father William J. Ferris and a brother James A. Ferris.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The casket will not be open after the service.
