Raul Ocampo Trejo

Raul Ocampo Trejo was born on July 26, 1979 in Tecozautla Hidalgo, Mexico. He was the son of Lazaro Ocampo Hernandez and Eulalia Trejo de Ocampo. He was a loving husband to Ana Salas-Ocampo and was a father of 4 wonderful children.

Raul was employed by Davis Farms for the past 18 years. Raul enjoyed soccer and especially coaching for Logan County Soccer. He was an avid OU fan and enjoyed listening to music. He was involved with St. Mary and St. Monica Churches. He was well known for his friendly smile and enjoyed meeting people and speaking to everyone. Raul never failed to show his love for his family and friends.

Raul came to Oklahoma at the age of 16 from Mexico. His first job was at the Lazy E. He met his wife Ana around that time. Raul was a very hardworking and dependable man that was always willing to help anyone in need. He was always happy and extremely proud of his family. He was a true friend to many.

Raul is preceded in death by his baby boy, Jose de Jesus and was reunited with him on June 4, 2016.

Raul is survived by his wife, Ana and children: Araceli, age 18, little Raul, age 10, and Sofia, age 5. He is also survived by his mother Eulalia and father Lazaro and 4 siblings: Alfredo, Heriberto, Araceli, and Eliseo as well as multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 10, 2016 at St. Moncia Catholic Church, 2001 N. Western Avenue, Edmond, OK 73012. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Visitation will be held Thursday, 9:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.

A Prayer Vigil will be held Thursday, 4:00 P.M. - 11:00 P.M. at St. Monica Catholic Church.

Let’s celebrate Raul’s life and live by his example. Cherish life. Live, laugh, and love always. God bless.
