Funeral services for Kathryn H. "Kitty" Strong, 95, of Guthrie were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Guthrie with the Rev. Mary Lucia Walker officiating. Burial followed in Summit View Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. Strong was born Nov. 16, 1907 in Leavenworth, Kan. to Ralph and Clementine (Jackson) Hagar. She died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003 in Guthrie.
Kitty spent most of her life in Guthrie. She was a homemaker. She attended the University of Oklahoma, graduating in 1930 with a bachelor's degree. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and Trinity Episcopal Church. She loved to play golf, fish, travel and attend parties. Kitty loved people and her church.
She married J. Bert Strong. He preceded her in death in 1981.
Memorial may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 310 E. Noble, Guthrie OK 73044.
