Funeral services for James Benton "J. B." Stout, 83 of Guthrie, are pending under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Guthrie.
James died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at Logan Hospital and Medical Center.

Funeral services for James Benton "J. B." Stout, 83, of Guthrie, will be at 10 a.m., Monday, April 12 at Davis Funeral Chapel under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Guthrie, Rev. Ray Wade officiating.
Burial will be at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie.
J. B. was born Feb. 24, 1921, in Dover, Ark., to James and Minnie (Dotson) Stout. He died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at Logan Hospital and Medical Center, Guthrie.
J. B. lived in this area most of his life. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 1986. He previously was manager for a Kerr-McGee Service Station for 16 years. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II having served in the United State Army, a member of the American Legion LeBron Post # 58 and he loved to fish. J. B. was a Little League Baseball coach for many years.
J. B. married Dorothy Grace James on May 20, 1941, in Crescent. She preceded him in death on July 1, 2000.
J. B. is survived by two sons; Gary Stout and wife Sandra, Guthrie, and Don Stout, Guthrie; one sister-in-law, Wanda Stout, Guthrie; one daughter-in-law, Linda Stout, Guthrie; three grandchildren Tanya Sullivan and husband Mike, Gary Stout, Jr., and wife Mary, and Jimmy Stout, all of Guthrie; three great-grandchildren: Bobby Johnson, Kimberly Johnson and Calen Sullivan; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
J. B. was preceded in death by his parents, a son, James Stout, and a brother, George Stout.
Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Saturday from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
