Funeral services are pending for George Stout at Smith Funeral Home. Stout, of Guthrie, died January 20, 2001 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services for George Stout, 81, of Guthrie, Okla., will be held at the Church of Christ on Jan. 24, 2001, with Rev. Rob McElroy of the Church of Christ of Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie, directed by Smith Funeral Home in Guthrie.
George was born on Jan. 28, 1919 in Dover, Ark., to Myrt and Minnie Stout. He died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City.
He married Wanda Spencer on May 16, 1942 in Perry, Okla. He was a member of the Church of Christ, the Oklahoma Sheriff and Police Association, the NRA, and Carolyn's Coffee Club and the Oklahoma Peace Officers.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda, of the home; two daughters, Jean Groom and her husband Steve of Guthrie, and Joyce Watkins and her husband Ray of Ellicott City, Maryland; one brother, J. B. Stout of Guthrie; and two grandchildren, David Groom of Los Angeles, Calif., and Cathie Smith and her husband, Chris, of Havannah, Fla.

Funeral services for George Stout, 81, of Guthrie, were held at 10 a.m., Jan. 24, 2001, at the Church of Christ, with Rev. Rob McElroy of the Church of Christ of Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie, directed by Smith Funeral Home in Guthrie.
