Ruby M. Smith

Born: January 30, 1921
Died: May 01, 2016

Ruby Smith, 95, of Yukon, OK, passed Sunday, May 1, 2016 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born January 30, 1921 in Crescent, OK to John and Maude Friday.

Ruby and Bill were married March 23, 1940. They raised 4 children. Ruby loved to bowl. She was very proud of her family and enjoyed many activities with them. Ruby also loved to travel with her daughter, Sue. In her later years, she grew fond of sports, particularly baseball. She loved outdoor activities. Camping with family gave her much pleasure. Ruby never met a piece of chocolate she didn’t like.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Bill, son Gary Smith, daughter Sue Smith, her parents and four siblings.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy Webb of Yukon, Joyce and Cass Christian of Stillwater, OK, seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Smith Memorial Chapel in Guthrie, OK. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to a charity of your choice.
