Marvin Leroy Smith

Died: January 05, 2008

Memorial services for Marvin Leroy Smith, age 76, of Guthrie, OK will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2008 at First United Presbyterian Church with Reverend Karen Rogers officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Marvin was born on December 27, 1931 in Guthrie to Earnest W. and Ida Mae (Payne) Smith. He died Saturday, January 5, 2008 in Guthrie.

Marvin worked at Dolese Sand Plant for over 40 years. He loved dancing of all types and spent many years of his life dancing in the Oklahoma City area.

He is survived by three brothers Edgar Smith of Guthrie, Harold Smith and wife Sue of Guthrie, and Jerry Smith and wife Carol of Edmond, OK, one sister Earnstine Brown of Guthrie, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marvin is preceded in death by one brother Earnest Smith, Jr.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the First United Presbyterian Church, 102 E. Noble, Guthrie, OK 73044.
