Karen Sue Seamans
Born: November 25, 1944
Died: July 14, 2012

Karen Sue (Weigel) Seamans, 67, passed away July 14, 2012. She was born November 25, 1944, in Cincinnati, OH to Robert and Minnie Weigel. Karen attended high school at Colerain High in Cincinnati. She started her undergraduate degree at Ohio State University and graduated from the University of Wisconsin. She went on to earn her Masters in Psychology from Central State University in Edmond, OK.

Karen married her soul-mate, Jim Seamans, on June 17, 1977. Together they created a wonderful, loving home for their combined family. Karen and Jim enjoyed traveling, steak dinners with the family, and sharing a good bottle of wine.

Karen was actively involved in numerous civic and social organizations. Some of her favorite hobbies were gardening, shopping, and selflessly giving to others. Karen was a successful local business owner for several years. Many admired her seemingly endless energy.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Jim Seamans. She is survived by children Kelle Ashbaker, Jason Jones, Jessica Underwood, James V. Seamans, Jr., and Kelley Carter and 9 grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at the First Christian Church in Guthrie on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie. Closed casket visitation will be Thursday, 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
