Funeral services for LaVere Robinette, 75, of Guthrie will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2003 at the First Southern Baptist Church family life center with the Rev. David Nolen officiating. Burial will follow in Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie under the direciton of Smith Funeral Home.
LaVere was born Sept. 25, 1927 in Guthrie to Roy and Mildred Robinette. he died Thursday, May 1, 2003 in Edmond.
LaVere served in the Army Air Corps. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base after 42 years.
Survivors include his wife Joan, two daughters, Shari Jo Abt and husband Kenny and Judy Anai and husband James; two brothers, Stanley Robinette and wife Helen and Richard Robinette and wife Vivian and their son Mark; and his faithful dog, Dunkan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Becky Jo, in 1959.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday until 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the First Southern Baptist Church building fund or the charity of your choice.
