Rodney "Rod" Kent Richardson, age 60 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on April 25, 2021 in Guthrie. Rod was born on April 24, 1961 in Liberal, Kansas to Billy Royce and Fonnie Mae (Crabtree) Richardson.

Rod attended Kremlin High School and graduated in 1979. He married Myra Stone on June 12, 1987 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Guthrie. Rod retired from the oilfield in 2019. He enjoyed tending to his cattle.

Survivors include his wife Myra of the home in Guthrie, his brother Randy Richardson and wife Lonetta of Guthrie and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Billy and Fonnie Richardson and son Austin Richardson in 2019.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Katrina Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials made to Austin Richardson Memorial Scholarship Fund, 18712 Lazy Grove Drive, Edmond, OK 73012.
