Graveside funeral services for Gary Dale Nelson, 54, of Guthrie, OK will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Summit View, Guthrie with Pastor Mark Lemarr of Crescent Assembly of God Church of Crescent, OK officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Gary was born on October 7, 1954 in Guthrie to Norman Dale and Carol Glee (Gooch) Nelson. He died Friday, December 26, 2008 at his home in Guthrie.

He is survived by his mother Carol Nelson, one brother Mark Nelson, one sister Ann Tisher, and forever loved one Dianne Cook all of Guthrie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews Courtney Daves, Kristal Hensley, Katie Tisher, and Zachary Nelson, five great-nieces and nephews, and beloved dog Sister.

Gary is preceded in death by his grandparents Carl and Margie Gooch and Lynn and Maude Nelson and father Norman D. Nelson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of Guthrie Animal Shelter (FOGAS), 104 West Springer, Guthrie, OK 73044. Memorials may be emailed to smith-gallo@sbcglobal.net
