William (Bill) Lowe, 89, passed away on Wednesday December 27th, 2017 in Tulsa, OK with his grandchildren by his side. Bill was born in Guthrie, OK to William and Sarah Lowe on August 25th, 1928. Bill married Delores Howard on July 3rd, 1948. Bill and Delores lived much of their life in Guthrie where Bill worked as a principal. Over the last decade, Bill spent much of his time in Mission, Texas where he enjoyed spending time with his friends in the community, dancing, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Bill also spent time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren in Tulsa, OK. Bill was a kindhearted and loving man whose bright smile and sparkling blue eyes brought joy to all who knew him.
Bill is survived by his son, Don Lowe and wife Jennylene; son Gerald Lowe and wife Gayle. He is also survived by his grandchildren and their families; Sandra McCarter and husband Ryan, and their children Brittany Seward, Steve McCarter, and Tristen McCarter; Julia Salmon and husband Shawn, and their children Cody Holliday, Jake Salmon, Victoria Holliday, and Mylie Salmon; David Lowe and wife Jennifer, and their son Logan Lowe; and Jennifer Lowe.
Bill will be missed and always remembered by his parting phrase, Bye-bye for now. Bye-bye for now indeed, Grandpa Lowe.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday January 25th, 2018 at 11:00am at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie, OK Cemetery. Please contact Smith-Gallo Funeral Home for additional information.
