Shelia Faye (Allison) Longnecker, 73, of Edmond, OK was born October 13, 1947 in Wichita, Kansas to Robert W. and Betty (Gross) Allison. Shelia passed away on September 19, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Shelia graduated from East High School in Wichita, Kansas in 1965. The Allison family moved to Oklahoma in the late 1960's. Shelia worked for Southwestern Bell in Oklahoma City before starting her family with her former spouse, Boyd Longnecker. Shelia became a homemaker after her two children were born. Once the kids were in elementary school, Shelia went back to work. She began her career at the Logan County Treasurer's Office in 1981. After serving her community for 17 years, she was elected as the Logan County Treasurer in 1998. Shelia served two four-year terms before retiring on July 1, 2007.

After retirement, Shelia enjoyed quilting, scrapbooking and traveling with her sister, Sandi. Shelia and Sandi had a wonderful time together no matter where their adventure would lead them such as a slot machine tournament in Las Vegas, visiting family in Kansas or driving to the 77 counties in Oklahoma to photograph the county courthouses. Shelia was a loving and caring sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed most of her retired years watching her grandchildren participate in events ranging from a baseball game, rodeo or a dance recital. Her family was her everything.
