Barbara June Elston Ledington

Barbara June Elston Ledington was born on June 22, 1934, at Crescent, Oklahoma to Lee Elston and Barbara Jewel LaRue Elston. She passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at St. John's Hospital, in Tulsa, surrounded by her loving family.

She married Dwayne Ledington on September 6, 1952 and welcomed two children into their lives. She was a homemaker and also worked as a church secretary in various churches she attended. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years and most recently a faithful member of Northeast Baptist Church. She never met anyone she didn't share Jesus with and led many of her family members to Christ. She loved to cook and enjoyed taking care of others. She will be missed by her family and many friends.

She is survived by one sister Sharon (Tim) Anderson and one brother Loren (Delna) Elston and one daughter Terri Ledington Cook. She had 6 grandchildren; Joshua (Natieya) Moreland, Lynzi Cook, Randi (Clay) Caple, Sydni (Trey) Brazil, Makenzie Ledington and Madison Ledington. She was honored with 5 great grandchildren; Triton, Wyatt, Ledger, Marilee and Malachi.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dwayne, one son Gaylon Ledington, and one grandchild Malachi Brazil. Also, her parents Lee and Jewel

Elston and three brothers Harold, Glen and Jerry Elston.

Graveside services for the family will be on Friday, October 20th 2:00 at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
