At home and surrounded with love by dearest family, Daphne peacefully passed away on June 22, 2018, following an arduous battle with breast cancer. The family would like to thank the staff of Integris Hospice for their care and assistance with helping Daphne maintain her dignity and comfort during her final weeks.

Daphne was born May 24, 1962 to parents Dennis and Elizabeth (Means) Anglin, and attended school at Cashion, Oklahoma. As a devoted mother, wife, and “Grandma Duck” to her grandchildren, she always made the people around her feel loved and well-fed (a family can never have enough Texas brownies, shredded beef enchiladas, or forgotten cookies!). She delighted in hosting holiday and family gatherings; her home was always open, and everyone was considered a friend. She enjoyed keeping up with OKC Thunder basketball, Barons hockey, and March Madness. Daphne loved (and was loved in return by) her church family at Seward Road Baptist Church. She showed by example courage, humility, patience, and above all, faith.

Daphne was preceded in death by her grandparents, Olaf and Clairetta (York) Anglin, Betty (Kleckner) Goodell, and Everett Means. She leaves behind her parents Dennis and Beth Anglin; husband, Robert “Gene” Kerbo; children Letisha (Smith) Miller, Christopher Smith, Zachary Smith, and Robert W. Kerbo; siblings Denise Montgomery, Glen Anglin, and James Anglin; as well as grandchildren Bradley and Andrew Miller, Aubrey Jackson, and Brady Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Daphne requested to be cremated, and her ashes will be interred at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be conducted at Seward Road Baptist Church on Friday, June 29, at 10:30am. Everyone is welcome to attend. Those wishing to pay respects may do so at Hayes Funeral Home on Wednesday June 27 and Thursday June 28 from 9 A.M. until 5 P.M. Daphne’s favorite flowers are carnations, or donations in her memory to Metavivor.com or Little Pink Houses of Hope would be appreciated by the family.

Friends and family may sign the online guestbook at hayesfh.com
