Ethel Lucille Mills Johnson, age 75, went to be with her family and friends in heaven, Friday, February 27, 2004, in Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ethel was born December 9, 1928 to Albert and May Mills, north of Reydon, Oklahoma in Roger Mills County.

Ethel was the youngest of eleven children.

Ethel grew up on the family farm south of the Washita River.

She attended school at Midway and Reydon, Oklahoma.

She graduated from Reydon High School with the class of 1947.

After graduation, she moved to Oklahoma City and worked for Halliburtons Department Store.

In 1951, she was employed with Streets Department Store and traveled to New York, California and Florida buying merchandise for their stores.

She became Vice President of Matthews stores and helped open 92 "Accessory Lady" stores in Texas.

She retired in June 1986 and she and Jim enjoyed traveling all over the U.S.A. and Hawaii.

Ethel married James O. Johnson in Edmond, Oklahoma.

She and her sister Lavera married brothers and lived close to each other.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Marc Habkirk of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Sophia Williams of Oklahoma City; and Leona Carroll of Guthrie, Oklahoma; and one brother, Ray Mills of Oregon.

Her parents; brothers, Charlie Mills, Myron Mills, Harold Mills, Everett Mill and Milo Mills; and sister, Edna Brinkley and Lavena Johnson are deceased.

Ethel requested that no memorial service be held. She wished for everyone to remember her in life and celebrate her life.

Burial in Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie, Oklahoma.
