Ruth E. Hopfer

Born: December 06, 1922
Died: June 25, 2010

"Who can find a valiant woman? For her price is far above rubies." (Psalms 31:11) The priceless life of Ruth E. Hopfer was taken from us Friday, June 25, 2010. She has now passed from this Earth to walk amongst the angels in the gardens of Heaven. She led a full and happy life with her family as both a farmer and a homemaker in Guthrie, OK.

She is survived by her sons Kenneth Hopfer and wife Brenda and Wayne Hopfer and wife Janie; four grandchildren: Jason, Kim, Rebecca, and Kevin; three great-grandchildren: Keana, Nora, and Tess; and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband John Hopfer; brother Lee Goodnight; sister Dorothy (Beck) Brewer; parents Lieu and Relda Goodnight; granddaughter Ashley Hopfer; and great-granddaughter Vaida Anne Hopfer.

Her family shall cherish every moment shared and every memory created with her. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 28, 2010 at First Christian Church in Guthrie. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Visitation will be Sunday, 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
