LeRoy Robert Gibson, age 90 passed away September 24, 2018 in Edmond, Oklahoma. He was born on March 26, 1928 in Paden, Oklahoma to Charles W. and Madge M. (Loftis) Gibson.

LeRoy resided in Cashion, Oklahoma for most of his life. On August 26, 1970 he married Dorothy Eakins. He was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as a driller in the oilfield industry until 2008. LeRoy enjoyed fishing and playing dominoes in his spare time.

Survivors include his daughters Debbie Eakins of Ohio, Sharon Eakins of Colorado, and Mary Lanphear of Oklahoma City, brother Bobby Gibson of Guthrie, sisters Frances Field and husband Robert of Guthrie and Roberta Ramey of Grandview, Missouri. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. LeRoy was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 2008, parents Charles and Madge, brother Kenneth Gibson, sister Iva Phillips, daughter Karen Eakins, son Jimmy Eakins, nephews Greg Phillips, Darrell Biggs, and Bobby Gene Gibson, Jr., and two grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with Gene Owen officiating. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM.
