Bobby Gene Gibson, Sr. age 87 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on January 3, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on July 17, 1931 in Paden, Oklahoma to Charles and Madge (Loftis) Gibson.

Bobby lived in Guthrie most of his life. He was in the United States Army and served in the Korean Conflict where he received the Purple Heart and 5 Bronze Stars. He enjoyed building furniture.

Bobby was married to Evelyn Seagroves and she preceded him in death. He later married Patricia Gummow who also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his son Christopher Carl "Chris" Gibson of Guthrie, 2 sisters, Frances Field and her husband Robert of Guthrie and Roberta Ramey of Grandview, MO and numerous nieces and nephews. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, 2 wives, a son Bobby Gene Gibson, Jr., sister Iva Mae Phillips and 2 brothers Kenneth Gibson and LeRoy Gibson.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Summit View Cemetery with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Services are under the direction of Hays Funeral Home.
