"Snuffy" Doyle Bill Garrett
B:June 18, 1937
D:December 28, 2017

Doyle was born on June 18, 1937 to Duane R. and Virginia (Pierce) Garrett in Oklahoma City, OK. He passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 in Guthrie, OK.

He attended Union Valley School in Logan County and graduated from Guthrie High School in 1955.

On May 25, 1959, he married Sharon Harman of Cashion, OK. They made their home in Guthrie for over 58 years. To this union two children were born: Diane Garrett and Paul Garrett. Doyle spent over 35 years in the aviation service and manufacturing industry with Gulfstream Aerospace.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his two children Diane and Paul (Lyla) Garrett; five grandchildren: Cody (Ashley) Garrett, Candace (Jace) Hamel, Levi Garrett, Carley and Cassidy Taylor; and four great- grandchildren: Greyson Garrett and Piper, Penzly, and Jenix Hamel. He is further survived by his sister, Donnita (Garrett) Hall and his brother James R. (Jim Bob) Garrett, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Smith Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Viewing will be held Tuesday9:30 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, 825 N.E. 13th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73104. Please designate memorials to the area of Lung Cancer Research.
