Wilma Mae (Robinson) Furlong, 86, of Guthrie, OK, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 in Guthrie. She was born April 10, 1934 in Navina, OK to Clarence and Bernice (Decker) Robinson.

Wilma was a hairdresser for over 50 years. She loved working in her yard, traveling, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wilma was an avid golfer and a member of the Guthrie Golf and Country Club and the Cedar Valley Women’s Golf Association. She attended and loved St. Mary Catholic Church even in the face of Alzheimers.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John (J.T.); son, Vincent Furlong; and her great-grandchildren, Brady Benson, Maggie and Dane Dixon, and Brian Akins.

Wilma is survived by her daughters, Rose Gathers and husband, Lynn of Guthrie, Joan Graham and husband, Rance of Oklahoma City, Mary Cordis and husband, Orson of Guthrie, and her son, Terry Furlong of Guthrie; and her daughter-in-law, Julie Furlong of Edmond. She is also survived by her brother, Frank Robinson and her sisters, Colleen Foster, Rowena Fields, Charlaine Derr, and Paulette Elling; as well as 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Companion Hospice, Candy, Allie and Kim for the loving care and support extended to Wilma and her family.
